The Process
Figures 1-6

After surveying the site, removing sod if required and marking outlines on where your new curb border will go, we begin mixing the concrete on our truck. We then wheelbarrow it to the curb site and add it to our machine. The machine begins to "extrude" the concrete through a form that is the shape of the curb you've chosen. (Fig 1, 2). We use only portable equipment so as not to disturb your existing landscape.

After some slight smoothing by hand to ensure the curb is uniform (Fig 3) we then begin the process of adding color and patterns.

We hand trowel over the surface of the curb a very thin mixture of concrete, reagent, polymers and hardeners which we call "slurry" (Fig 4). Not only does this slurry allow us to create the pattern you've chosen, it also bonds to the concrete to provide added strength.

We then add a release (Fig 5) to the surface that bonds to the concrete adding strength and allowing us to use our pattern stamper with the confidence it won't stick as we imprint the pattern.

We stamp the pattern (Fig 6) by rolling a special tool over the surface of the prepared slurry. Once we've completed this phase of the project, we will finalize by adding a sealant to protect the product and enhance its appearance

Although the concrete should be dry to the touch within a couple of hours, we ask that you allow up to 48 hours for proper curing.
